LOCATION:

 

We are located in the Napo province of the Ecuadorian Amazon, in an indigenous Kichwa community named “CAMPO COCHA.” This community is Located in the banks of the Arajuno river, and is one hour and twenty minutes from Tena, the capital city of the Napo province. The climate of the Amazon varies between 19-30°c, with high humidity, depending on the location and season. This area is currently inhabited by Kichwas, and for this reason, the main language spoken is kichwa, while Spanish remains the second language.

 

How do I get from Quito to Tena?

 

You will have to take a bus from Quitumbe terminal located in the south of Quito. There are busses here that leave for Tena every hour, and the ticket price is $7.50. Approximate travel time to Tena is five and a half hours.

From Tena to Campo Cocha:

 

Very close to the Tena interprovincial terminal you can find the transport companies Jumandy or Centinela del Tena where you can buy a ticket to the Campo Cocha Community. The approximate  travel time to Campo Cocha is one hour and fifteen minute, with the cost of $1.90. Once you have arrived to Campo Cocha you will ask for the bus stop named entrada las minas. Once you are at entrada las minas you wil have to walk for approximately 15 minutes to Awana H & A, where we will be waiting for your arrival.
